Whether or not your case will go to trial will depend on a number of factors. All in all, very few cases actually go to trial. But always remember that everybody who is charged with a crime has an absolute right to go to trial and up until that happens is presumed innocent. Those rights are deeply rooted in the US Constitution.

Attorneys have a priority of what they seek first. Nothing is officially done or finalized without the client's consent, as it is their case and the final decision is always theirs.
